James “JT” Turner joins Black Swan as Chief Insight Officer, bringing close to 2 decades of research and insights experience to the data science and technology firm, to unlock a new cadre of analytic capabilities.
“At Black Swan we help our clients apply cutting-edge predictive analytics to solve their business problems – we are constantly exploring new ways to connect data, using data science alongside more traditional research techniques, to do this we need new tools and a world-class stellar team” said Steve King, Black Swan CEO.
Turner said: “Black Swan offers me the opportunity to shape how a new breed of insight tools can help embed insights into the heart of our client’s growth strategies. It’s rare to find an insights business with such a wide range of experience and cutting-edge tools”.
Until recently, JT was COO in Europe at Edelman Berland, having set up the UK office. Prior to Edelman Berland, JT held senior management positions at ICM, FreshMinds, Populus and BT.
Chris Bunyan joins the insight team to build out the client services function for Black Swan’s Nest platform, joining from Kantar Media where he worked as a Group Account Director in the consumer intelligence division on their media and creative industry accounts.
Nick Peppiatt joins as Insights Manager from GfK where he specialised in Brand & Advertising research with clients in the Tech and Telecoms sectors.
Katya Euser also joins from Ogilvy One where she was a Social Analyst working on travel and FMCG clients having worked on innovative social listening methodologies.
The final member of the new Black Swan Insight Division is Lauren Wardrope, ex of Redwood, who joins as an Analyst, bringing a wealth of digital research experience from tracking customer behaviour to performance dashboards.
